Common Misconceptions regarding vikings and the Viking age.



Horned helmets

  • while not a common practice there is some evidence that helmets with horns did exist.

lack of armor

  • most of the warriors would have some kind of armor being that they are the ones often raiding or going a viking. a raiding party that is successful will naturally take the better equipment to "upgrade themselves.
